Tangtang being the best Cryo unit in the current meta isn't exactly news, but seeing her slide so neatly into a Rossi lineup still catches people off guard. If you've been testing Arknights endfield accounts setups or just messing around with endgame comps, you'll notice pretty fast that this team works for a simple reason: Tangtang brings so much damage on her own that she patches over a lot of Rossi's long-standing issues. That says as much about Tangtang's power as it does about Rossi's awkward spot in the roster. Rossi wants a team that respects both halves of her kit, but right now that kind of support package just doesn't really exist.
How the build actually comes togetherThe stat requirements are pretty manageable once Gilberta is in the squad. Her passive gives supporters, casters, and guards a 7% ultimate gain bump, and that covers everyone here. Because of that, Rossi and Perlica can run at 0% required ult gain without feeling strained. Rossi's cleanest setup is MI Security Armor T1, Redeemer Gloves, and two MI Security Scopes, with Lupine Scarlet as the clear best weapon choice. Tangtang usually wants around 10% to 14% ult gain depending on dupes, using Yinglung Heavy Armor, Bonekrusha Mask kits, and Brigand's Calling. Gilberta is the one who really eats stats, landing somewhere around 26% to 31%, and she feels best with Delivery Guaranteed plus Eternal Xiranite gear. Perlica is the easy slot. Rotation and why it feels so smoothWhat makes this comp nice to play is that it's not fussy. You're not juggling some overloaded setup every second. Most of the time, you're waiting on combo timers and keeping the flow tidy. Since the team isn't consuming vulnerable stacks at all, the first cycle is straightforward: wait for lift, then go Perlica combo, Tangtang skill, Gilberta combo, and Tangtang combo. After that, you fill the gaps with Rossi's skill and combo while Tangtang comes back online. When everything is ready, dump ultimates in order: Tangtang first, then Gilberta, then Perlica, and finally dive straight into Rossi's ultimate. Once you run it a few times, it feels natural. Maybe even a bit too natural for a team that looks odd on paper.
Why this doesn't really feel like a Rossi teamThat's the strange part. Rossi is meant to be a hybrid carry, with damage split between Heat and Physical. In this version, though, you're basically treating her as a passenger in a Cryo-leaning Arts shell. Vulnerable stacks get ignored. Support choices are made to amplify Arts damage, not her full profile. And yet it still works. Perlica helps a lot here because she applies Electrification for free in SP terms and lines up Gilberta's combo with very little friction. The result is a team that performs well, but not in the way Rossi's kit seems to promise. It's less about unlocking her identity and more about sidestepping it.
The real issue with hybrid damage supportRossi's bigger problem is that the current support pool doesn't know what to do with hybrid damage dealers. Physical buffs don't help the Arts portion. Arts buffs do nothing for Physical. So players end up picking a side, and Tangtang makes that decision easy because she's absurdly efficient on her own. You can try forcing Ardelia into the conversation, but she's clunky, SP-hungry, and too dependent on someone else handling vulnerable stacks first. That's a lot to ask for not much payoff. Until the game gets a proper hybrid enabler, Rossi will keep leaning toward awkward compromises like this one.
