Forza Horizon 6 Update 5, officially known as the British Automotive Update, is bringing a new collection of vehicles, a dedicated drifting activity, and changes to the open-world dealership. With nine cars connected to the update, although not all of them are technically new to the Forza franchise, there is plenty for collectors and racing fans to discover. Players can also make the most of their Forza Horizon 6 Credits while completing the latest Festival Playlist, collecting rare vehicles, and preparing their garages for the new content. The Festival Playlist is the first place players should look when Update 5 arrives. Three highlighted vehicles can be earned through seasonal activities without requiring the Car Pass. The first is the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, which requires 80 Playlist points throughout the month. This luxury performance machine features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing almost 800 horsepower and 744 lb-ft of torque. While the Bentley may not become the ultimate competitive vehicle in every racing category, its combination of size, power, and stability should make it an entertaining choice for cruising and drifting. The second Festival Playlist vehicle is the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, available for 20 points during the Summer season. This lightweight racing car is very different from the Bentley. It uses a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing approximately 100 horsepower, but its low weight and race-focused design give it plenty of character. The G40 Junior has also been used as an entry-level racing platform in real life, making it an excellent candidate for Spec Racing in FH6. Although there is no official confirmation that it will join the Spec Racing rotation, many players would likely welcome the opportunity. The third addition is the 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR, which can be unlocked with 20 points during Winter. This front-wheel-drive hot hatch comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing around 230 horsepower. The Astra VXR has a strong connection to British car culture and has also been converted into racing machines in real life. Its arrival could therefore be particularly exciting for players who enjoy modifying practical road cars into aggressive track builds. The Car Pass expands Update 5 even further. One of the biggest highlights is the 2025 McLaren W1, a modern hypercar equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing more than 1,200 horsepower. As the successor to legendary McLaren “1” cars such as the F1 and P1, the W1 is one of the most anticipated additions in the update. Its extreme performance should make it a standout option for high-speed events and highway runs. Week two introduces another highly requested vehicle, the 2023 Dodge Demon 170. Powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, the Demon 170 produces more than 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque. In real life, it is capable of spectacular straight-line performance, including wheelies and extremely quick acceleration on a prepared drag surface. Some players may question the addition because FH6 already features several Dodge Challenger variants, but the Demon 170 has a unique identity and has been heavily requested by the community. The third Car Pass vehicle is the 1998 Renault Sport Spider. With a 2.0-liter engine producing around 150 horsepower, this unusual lightweight sports car is more about agility and character than outright speed. Its distinctive appearance should also give players plenty of opportunities for creative customization. The final Car Pass addition is the 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Luftauto 002, featuring a 3.2-liter flat-six with approximately 250 horsepower. Its reinforced chassis, redesigned suspension, and KW coilovers give it an adventurous character that should work especially well for off-road builds. Update 5 also introduces the 1990 Jaguar XJS to the Auto Show. More importantly, a special Forza Edition of the XJS can be earned through the new Drift Attack activity. Drift Attack is essentially a time-attack challenge designed specifically around drifting. Players must navigate a dedicated course, hit clipping points, and achieve the highest possible drift score. This provides a new reason for drift enthusiasts to tune their cars and compete for better results. Another interesting change is the temporary British car dealership located at the stadium. During the update, players may find rare vehicles such as the 2019 Aston Martin DBS and 1961 Jaguar E-Type. These cars were previously associated with wheel spins, so their temporary dealership availability could create an interesting opportunity for collectors. Players who find them may choose to keep them and potentially sell them through the Auction House after their availability becomes more limited. However, not every expected vehicle is arriving. The McLaren Senna will not be part of Update 5. While the exact situation has not been fully explained, reported licensing complications involving the Senna name may be preventing the car from being added. For fans who have been waiting for it, the absence will certainly be disappointing. Looking toward the future, Update 6 will be called Horizon Meets and is expected to feature temporary 7-Eleven evolving-world content, a permanent EventLab content pack, new-to-Horizon vehicles, and a new profile badge. The temporary nature of the 7-Eleven content has already raised questions among players because of its connection to Japanese automotive culture. There are also concerns about the future of the Edamame circuit near the stadium and whether it will be removed without a meaningful replacement. Overall, Update 5 offers a solid combination of British automotive culture, modern hypercars, unusual sports cars, rare dealership vehicles, and new drifting gameplay. From the Bentley and Ginetta to the McLaren W1 and Porsche 911, there are plenty of reasons to return to the game and expand your collection. With Forza Horizon 6 Cars, players can further improve their progression and enjoy the latest cars, events, and seasonal challenges while getting ready for Horizon Meets in Update 6.
